In short: check the directory, event listings, your country page and local members, then research the venue itself: house rules, dress code, who is allowed in and how it handles problems. Ask the venue a few direct questions before you book, and go with an exit plan.

Where can you find swingers clubs near you?
Start with a few places rather than one, and cross-check what you find.
- The directory. Our swingers clubs directory lists clubs and venues, with reviews in your location.
- Events and parties. Browse the listings of swingers parties and regular nights.
- Your country page. The community pages for the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand show where members are active.
- Local members. The local swingers page and couples seeking couples are good for asking which venues people trust.
- Chat rooms and forums. Ask in the chat rooms and forums, under an alias if you like. Experienced members are usually glad to point you to a good first night.
Is a club, a party or a social night right for you?
| Option | What it is | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Swingers club | A venue with a bar, social areas and private rooms, run by staff with house rules | Couples who want a structured space with staff on hand |
| Party night | A themed or one-off event, in a club or a hired venue | Couples who want a bigger crowd and a specific vibe |
| Social night | Drinks and conversation, with no expectation of play | First-timers who want to meet people in a relaxed setting |
| Private house party | A smaller, usually invite-only gathering | Couples who prefer a quieter evening and have people to introduce them |
Your preference may be more private than you think. In one of our polls, 73% of 700 voters preferred a private, controlled space to the energy of a party, and 27% went for the party. For what a night involves, read What Is a Swinger Party Like?.
What should you check before you go?
Do a few minutes of homework. A well-run venue is easy to research, and a poorly run one tends to show it.
- The venue's own website and social pages: do they look current, and do they explain the rules clearly?
- Reviews and recommendations from other members, ideally from more than one source.
- House rules on consent, photography, phones and behaviour.
- The dress code, and whether the night has a theme.
- Who is allowed in: couples only, couples and singles, or particular nights for particular guests.
- Safer sex supplies, and whether staff are on site throughout.
- Entry fees, booking and guest list rules. Prices vary, so check the venue directly.
- Whether there is a newcomers' evening, or a host who welcomes first-timers.

Send a short, polite message. A good venue will reply clearly and without fuss.
- Is the night suitable for first-timers, and is there anyone we can say hello to when we arrive?
- What is the dress code, and what time do things usually get busy?
- What are the rules about phones, photos and solo guests?
- How does your team handle a complaint on the night?
- Is there somewhere quiet to sit and chat?
- How do we book, and what is the cancellation policy?
If the answers are vague, defensive or pushy, try somewhere else.
How do you stay safe getting there and back?
- Tell a friend which venue you are going to and when you expect to be back.
- Plan your travel home before you leave, and keep one of you sober enough to decide when to go.
- Agree a signal for "I would like to leave now", and honour it without discussion.
- Keep your own drinks and belongings in sight.
- Save the venue's address and phone number, and keep your phone charged.
- Read the venue's rules at the door, and follow them.
The safety page sets out how TheAdultHub looks after members, and Swinging Etiquette and Ground Rules covers behaviour once you are inside.
How do you keep it discreet?
Think about what a car park, a receipt or a loyalty card might reveal, and who might see your phone. Use first names or aliases at the venue, never mention where you know people from and never share who you saw. Our guide to swinging and privacy goes through work, photos and what to do if you meet someone you know.
What if there is no club near you?
Plenty of people live a long way from the nearest venue. A few options:
- Meet couples online first, then arrange a drink in a public place. How Couples Meet Other Couples walks through it.
- Look for events that happen occasionally in a larger town or city, and make a weekend of it.
- Ask members in your area how people around you socialise. Many gatherings are private and arranged through the community.
- Think about hosting your own once you know a few couples.
